Key Highlights

  • Cost Effectiveness Value at the property is excellent, considering the unbeatable location, an excellent restaurant, and private beach access; all for very fair pricing for Sicily.
  • Service Experience The service reflects that warm, family-run hospitality ethos; the staff are welcoming, helpful, and eager to ensure guests enjoy their stay.
  • Location Quality The location is perfect right in Portopalo di Capo Passero with breathtaking sea views right in the heart of this authentic fishing village.
  • Neighborhood The ambiance is rather beautiful with an active fishing harbor, pretty seafront promenade, and unique historic Tonnara.
  • Clean & Tidy A high level of cleanliness is kept throughout the hotel, and the facilities are old but spotless as guests find them always.
  • Breakfast Experience The breakfast has all the hallmarks of a classic Italian offering- good coffee and fresh pastries, more often had under a pretty sea view, but only a limited number of savory options.
  • Comfort of Bed Furnishings and beds have basic amenities without much in the way of comfort or styling found in newer boutique hotel offerings.
  • Wi-Fi Speed They have free Wi-Fi but being an older building the signal sucks and is very inconsistent, particularly in rooms located further from the main router.
  • Hotel Freshness The first impression is of a very dated hotel. The decor and furniture belong to a bygone era, giving it the appeal of ‘old’ which urgently needs to be brought up to ‘new’.
  • Noise Level It can get a little noisy from the evening crowds and restaurants, especially on summer weekends when those views are the biggest attraction.
  • Long Stay Potential Good for a quick, real seaside stop to enjoy the food and views. Rooms were basic and may not be as comfortable if staying for longer.
  • Parking Ease The hotel does not provide private parking facilities, hence guests have to search for spaces along the seafront or in side streets nearby, which is difficult to do especially so in July and August.
